Happy Monday fellow bloggers! How was everyone’s weekend?! Mine was fabulous! I rented old movies, drank wine, went to the fair, and started reading a new book; which is what I will be blogging about today!
I have recently become obsessed with Elizabeth Taylor! I was watching television the other week and Cleopatra was on. She was just SO beautiful! And her costar Richard Burton was so handsome. Then I come to find out they were lovers off screen and eventually got married! I HAD to know more!
So after doing some research I found out the two were one of the hottest and most scandalous couples of all time! I found a book that was about the two of them and their lives as lovers and co-stars. It’s called “Furious Love” by Sam Kashner and Nancy Schoenberger.
Elizabeth Taylor has been married 8 times! She was married twice to Burton, who she would later call “the true love of her life.”
She loved jewelry, diamonds in particular and had a spectacular collection. She even owned the Hope Diamond at one point!
After reading about her life and personality, and her torrid love affair with Burton I decided I absolutely LOVE her! She was so glamorous, beautiful, and elegant yet she could drink most men under the table and often liked to use four letter words! Not to mention she owned a Pekingese!
